Description

Tested Reactivity: This antibody is a cocktail of anti-Human mAbs against human CD9, human CD63, and human CD81.
Other Published Reactivity: Non-human primates, including cynomolgus, and rhesus.
Conjugate: PE (see dropdown at the top for available options).
Sensitivity: Limit of detection is estimated at 10-30 molecules per vesicle in vFC™ for the PE conjugate and is instrument dependent. Change selection above for LOD of the antibody conjugated to a different fluorophore. LOD is estimated using antibody binding beads and will vary depending upon sample, instrument, and other experimental conditions.
Application: Optimized for vFC™ with no wash steps required.

Human Tetraspanin Immunostaining in vFC™?

Cellarcus’ anti-human tetraspanin antibody is included with the vFC™ assay.  Protocols for characterization of extracellular vesicles can be found on the vFC™ assay page. Protocol 2 describes immunofluorescent based measurement of cargo including human tetraspanins.  It should be run after completion of instrument setup (protocol 0) and sample characterization (protocol 1) to ensure compliance with all current guidelines.

Tetraspanins are common surface proteins on EVs.  The majority of EVs express predominantly CD9, CD63, and/or CD81 although expression patterns differ on EVs derived from different cell lines.  More information on tetraspanins coming soon!
