vCAL™ nanoCAL™ ANTIBODY CAPTURE BEADS (450 nm)

vCal™ Antibody Capture nanoBeads are calibrated antibody capture beads designed to assess and optimize antibodies for use in vesicle flow cytometry (vFC™). These beads bind all antibody isotypes and produce 4 peaks with different intensities for instrument calibration. Calibrating your instrument enables you to report quantitative surface marker phenotypes which is important in comparing data across labs and time as well as for compliance with guidelines.

Select your specificity based on the host of the antibody you are using or for simpler workflows select pre-stained beads. The 450nm size is suitable for detection on cytometers with moderate scatter sensitivity.  They are preferable to larger beads because they are dimmer, have less autofluorescence, and are compatible with traditional and high sensitivity instrumentation.

In general, for smaller vesicles or dim markers it is important that an instrument is able to resolve all four peaks. For larger vesicles or very abundantly expressed proteins, being able to distinguish between brighter peaks may be sufficient for some analyses.
